Privacy Policy

1 Who We Are

BlockApps ("the App", "we", "us") is developed and published by Ali Can Batur under the Boosty brand, an independent iOS app studio operated at sipylus.ai. If you have questions, you can reach us at hello@sipylus.ai.

2 Information We Do NOT Collect

BlockApps is built on Apple's Family Controls framework (Screen Time API). This means:

• We never see which apps you choose to block.
• We never collect your Screen Time usage data.
• We never store your block schedules or mode configurations on any server.
• We do not require an account or email address to use the app.
• We do not use a VPN or proxy — your network traffic is never routed through our systems.

All of this data lives exclusively on your device and is managed by iOS. Apple's own privacy documentation governs how Screen Time data is handled at the OS level.

3 Information That May Be Collected

While BlockApps itself does not collect personal data, certain routine technical data may be processed through Apple's standard infrastructure or third-party tools we use:

• Crash logs: If the app crashes, anonymized diagnostic reports may be sent to Apple and made available to us through App Store Connect. These do not contain your Screen Time data.
• App Store analytics: Apple provides aggregate, anonymized data about downloads, sessions, and retention. We cannot identify individual users from this data.
• In-app purchases: Subscription and purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a receipt confirmation — no payment card details or personal financial information.

4 How Apple's Screen Time API Works

BlockApps uses Apple's Family Controls framework to apply app restrictions on your device. When you grant permission:

• iOS enforces the restrictions locally using its own system processes.
• BlockApps instructs iOS which apps to restrict and when — but this instruction is processed entirely on-device.
• No app selection data, schedule, or restriction state is ever sent to our servers.

5 Subscriptions & Payments

BlockApps offers optional paid subscriptions (weekly) and a one-time lifetime purchase, managed entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system.

• All billing is handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refund requests must be submitted through Apple — we do not process refunds directly.

6 Data Retention & Deletion

Because BlockApps stores all data locally on your device, you have full control:

• Deleting the app from your iPhone removes all locally stored preferences and configurations.
• Revoking Screen Time permission in iOS Settings immediately removes the app's ability to apply restrictions.
• There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.

7 Children's Privacy

BlockApps is designed for users aged 16 and older, consistent with the iOS Family Controls API requirements. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
